ROMI GL Series – New Generation

Designed to operate in environments of medium and high production, our ROMI GL Series horizontal turning centers have high power and torque. Their robust structure is ideal for machining at full power, and they offer high rigidity even during severe machining operations. Thermal and geometric stability results in accuracy, high performance and productivity.

Each GL Series turning center is equipped with thermal compensation with sensors to maintain stable, dimensional results even during long working periods. The use of sensors provides accurate, real-time compensation as opposed to compensation based on pre-defined algoritms. The result is more accurate machining over extended periods of time when the machine temperature increases.

The quality of the manufacturing processes produces reliability and operational efficiency of all ROMI machines. Projected in 3D CAD system, the entire structure of the ROMI GL Series is dimensioned by Finite Element Analysis software (FEA), resulting in adequate structures for each machine size.

Our GL Series horizontal turning centers offer huge power and torque, and have cooling systems which bring great thermal and geometric stability to the assembly. Each turning center is equipped with a high precision spindle designed to withstand high machining forces and high speeds with continuous variation.
